The Kings Academy Knights Battalion is the first (and only) homeschool JROTC program in the nation. Our commitment to excellence and leadership sets us apart. We teach our cadets Community Service, Academic Excellence, and Leadership. Check out all of the things we've got going on right now.
The only Homeschool JROTC in America!
Please join me in congratulating our cadets in earning, once again, the coveted JROTC Honor Unit With Distinction (HUD)! Following our many months of preparation, hard work, and dedication God has blessed this program with continued success which today culminated in achieving a 98% on our inspection. We needed above a 95% to earn HUD. Every cadet had a part of this effort, from the youngest, most junior cadet, to the most experienced leader. Congratulations! About The King's Academy JROTC
The Knight’s Battalion Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps is the only homeschooled program in the nation now entering its twelfth year of existence, and is a recent recipient of the coveted Honor Unit With Distinction (HUD) award. We host information meetings throughout the year for prospective families and returning families and cadets. The JROTC mission is to motivate young people to become better citizens. Within this context, our goal is to make your student as successful as possible as a high school student and future adult citizen of our country. It is not the intent of JROTC nor is it my mission to recruit your child for future military service; however, several students have chosen this noble and rewarding path following graduation from high school. JROTC is all about having fun with a purpose. The JROTC curriculum is the most dynamic, diverse and challenging of any high school elective course. Your teen will be challenged intellectually, physically and morally. The structure of the U.S. Government, leadership, public speaking, and physical fitness events are but just a few of the areas in which your student will participate. Augmenting the JROTC curriculum are various special-teams in which your child may participate. These include the Raider Team, Drill Team, Color Guard, Leadership Team, Academic Team, a Cyber-Patriot Team, an Orienteering Team, a Rifle Team, and introducing a new Robotics Team, community parades and the ability to attend various state/national level competitions. We round out the program with fun activities like a Spring Camping Trip, field trips to various Atlanta metro locations, a JROTC formal ball, and an awards ceremony. The JROTC curriculum is successful because it is continuously being modernized to adapt to the challenges that our youth face today. The curriculum offers the latest classroom technology and is always available for your review. For those JROTC students and their parents who feel that future military service is a possibility, College ROTC is available with the opportunity to receive a fully-funded 4-year scholarship if qualified. Since inception many of our cadets have received full four-year scholarships. In addition, we had three cadets receive an appointment to the United States Military Academy, and another to the United States Air Force Academy thus, the benefits of this program are enormous. I would be happy to discuss a variety of college options available to your cadet when you are ready.

SHADOW DAY TBD
A Shadow Day is a day where prospective cadets can come in to preview our program and staff and see if it will be a good fit for them. Come out and get the full effect of our official Shadow Day where we get much more involved with the cadets and their participation in our events. I highly recommend prospective cadets plan to attend our Official Shadow Day where they can get a greater glimpse of the daily activities in which we engage in. Even if you attended one before we are sure to show you something you haven't seen before so come out again for the fun of it.
The JROTC Knight’s Battalion at the King’s Academy is excited to be launching its first VEX Robotics team to compete internationally this coming 2019-2020 school year. We are excited about launching the new Robo-Knights Special Team this year. After seeing the enthusiasm among the cadets during the preliminary meetings this past spring, and the enthusiastic turnout for the week-long Cyber-Robotics Camp we held in June--using the parent-donated VEX IQ equipment and receiving parent-provided instruction--we feel we have the support we need to have a successful year ahead.
