Come and join us for the chance to learn what JROTC is all about and become a cadet for a day. We invite your student to see what the program has to offer for themselves and ask any questions they may have.
Please reach us at if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The King’s Academy Knights Battalion is a Christ-centered, Honor Unit with Distinction, is the first and only homeschool battalion in the nation. The JROTC mission is to motivate young people to become better citizens. Within this context, our goal is to make you as successful as possible as a high school student and future adult citizen of our country. It is not the intent of JROTC to recruit you for future military service; rather to teach our cadets community service, academic excellence, and leadership. You will be challenged intellectually, physically and morally within the JROTC curriculum.
TKA Students, hybrid schooled students, and Homeschoolers.
(TKA application process for approval as a part-time student is required to join the program. Our parent volunteers will walk you through the process and answer any questions along the way to make it as easy as possible!)
Our shadow day will be held from 7:45 AM - 1:00 PM each day. This will include special teams demonstrations from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Please plan to pickup your future cadet at 1:00 PM.
Shadow day is open to current 7th grade students and up. Our program is open to students during their 8th-12th grade years. We encourage you to join for your 8th grade year, but it is possible to join during any of these grade levels.
Future cadets are asked to wear civilian clothes that are appropriate to be active in and conform to the modest dress code.
